A commercial entertainer. What is there to review right? Waltair Veerayya works because of Chiranjeevi and does not work because of Mega Star Chiranjeevi. The film entertains for the most part but falters in the final portion. A better director and a reduction in length could have done wonders for the movie.

Cast — Chiranjeevi is the show stealer. In scenes as well as in songs. His dances are still so graceful that you realize why fans still want him to dance in his songs. No one to match or beat him. And he did that with pretty average songs. Ravi Teja does a powerful small role that is tailor-made for him. Maybe a hint towards his future? The rest of the cast including Shruti Hassan just props. Vennela Kishore offers some comedy in the first half and is fine but is overdone. Bobby Sima does decently but would have been better if it was a bigger and better role. He offers so much more than the role could get out of him.

Technical Staff — Both the songs and the bgm are pretty average from DSP. In some places, the BGM seemed out of sync with the movie. It felt like the BGM would suit more to Vikram more than this movie. The BGM cannot be modern and different while the Direction is stuck in the 90s. They will feel out of place. He tried a few new things but they didn’t match the shots and the overall direction the movie was taking. Bobby the director does better than expected but that is only because expectations of him are so low!

Spoiler Discussion — On paper, the premise seems wonderful. A Stepbrother out to get the respect his brother’s death deserved as well as avenge his death. But bobby completely fails in making use of this emotion and makes a hotchpotch of the screenplay. Ravi Teja’s last scene in the Car with Chiranjeevi evokes emotions but that is only because of his acting and nothing else. Imagine a better director! Post that scene, why would they have 20 more minutes including a romantic song? Even for “fans” that seems a stretch to think they would want that. No sane person would want that.
