It’s Friday which means I have a lot to be thankful for this week. If you don’t already know, it’s part of my “becoming a better person” thing that I’m doing. Here’s what I was thankful for this week.

5. Paychecks

As the most expensive holiday season rears it’s fat, ugly head— I reminded myself I’m in a better place this year. I shopped early. The only time I love my job is when I have the opportunity to buy gifts for other people. What can I say? I’m a sucker for wrapping a good present. I can also say that all of my Christmas shopping is DONE!

4. Terrible Remakes

Remember that point in history when Hollywood was going through it’s do-over phase? You do? Remember that time they brought Tom Cruise back to life in that Mummy reboot? You don’t? It’s probably because it was the movie that killed his career.

Okay, it might not be that bad. It’s hard to tell. Is this a remake or a spin off? A completely new franchise? Can anybody weigh in???

Eh, it gives me something to look forward to come award season.

3. Successful Youtubers

The more I write, the more I want to read. I was given A Work in Progress last year as a gift. I recently picked it up again to remind myself there’s always a starting point. I wouldn’t say it’s great literature, but it is a decent read.

2. 30 Hilarious Celebrity Parenting Tweets

Shenhuifu posted 30 Hilarious Celebrity Parenting Tweets That Show They Have The Same Problems As Everybody Else and it’s hilarious!

Thank you to the person that had to go through all of those tweets for my happiness.

1. H&M Kills Christmas

Not literally. What I mean is, they nailed it when they hired Wes Anderson to direct their new Christmas commercial. It takes killer talent to combine visuals, dialogue, and character into a three minute time frame successfully.

Most of all I’m thankful for a strong community. Pound the ❤ to recommend if you’re thankful for one of the topics that made the list this week. Follow me to keep up-to-date on all things me and/or leave a comment to connect!
