Last Minute Mid-Season Power Rankings
Male Power Rankings
1a. Darrell
Out of all the champs so far, Darrell has set himself apart from everyone else physically on the ground. He demolished Zach in a physical elimination, and was arguably the Champs best player on the rugby challenge where he took multiple hits and scored a point. From this point on there is no real politics, only one of the champs can gain immunity, and the rest will go to elimination.
1b. Bananas
By snaking his way out of the first elimination, Bananas put a big target on his back, but then again, why wasn’t there a target on his back already? He is a 6 time champ for a reason, he will find his way to weasel it to the end. The scare for him is that he has to face either Darrell or CT in elimination.
1c. CT
We need the old CT or at least half of an old CT in the daily challenges. I enjoy that he’s taking it easy from a strategic point of view, but I feel we are missing out as viewers. CT can take on Bananas, but beating Darrell will be a tough one. If he makes the final, it would vault him up the charts of all time male rankings.
2. Hunter
He has done 4 daily challenges in his career, and has done incredibly in 3 of them. He won the second challenge he was in, blowing the rest of the cast out of the water(actually they were still in the water). On the first daily challenge against the champs, he pinned down Johnny Bananas for a good 5–10 seconds, it was hilarious to watch. This past week he was the only male underdog to finish the whole 3 minute cycle with his opponent off the wheel. To top it off, he is having sex with the #1 girl in the Shane & Gals alliance(Ashley). He was also on AYTO with the #2 girl(Amanda) and has a friend relationship with Dario & Nelson, while having a mutual respect with Shane.
3. Dario
The biggest surprise of the season is Dario. He went from being the most hated guy returning to the most well-liked. He’s charmed his way into Ashley K’s heart and maybe he can stay under the radar to get his way into the final.
4. Shane
He may like to talk about how he’s under-estimated, but Shane is either a favorite or the favorite dark horse to make it to the final for the underdogs. By eliminating Tony, he’s swung the votes completely towards his alliance and has proven to be a strong competitor in all of the daily challenges so far.
5. Nelson
After watching work-out clips, I was duped into believing that Nelson would be a powerhouse on this season. He’s not a leader, but I love where his heart is. If we gave Nelson’s ambition to someone with a more nonchalant personality, I feel we would have a fan favorite. He’s been a dud in all of the daily challenges, but he currently has numbers when it comes down to the alliances. Nelson will need to win at least 1 elimination to make it to the final, though.
6. Cory
When people talk about Cory possibly being the new face of the Challenge, I puke. He has not shown to be anything more than average as a competitor this season, has never won a real elimination, and has a sketchy dating history. Cory’s a loser and has a target on his back, the way the game is going he’ll need to sweep the final 3 male underdog eliminations to make the final.
Female Power Rankings
- Laurel
The women, the myth, the legend. Laurel’s never been beaten and is still dominating daily challenges. - Cara Maria
Just won her 12th career elimination, might need to win 2 more, only thing in her way of making it to the final is Laurel. Big obstacle. - Ashley M
Shane and the gals are running the game. She’s the strongest girl in her alliance and the most polarizing personality, if she can keep it together mentally, she will make it far. - Jenna
It might take 2 or 3 elimination wins to make it to the final, but Jenna still has never been eliminated, and you have to respect a body of work like that. - Nicole Z
I’ve never seen a female competitor be so many leaps and bounds ahead of her competition physically, yet seem so far away from the competition. She’s playing the game well and is going to have a relationship with Laurel. Nicole might sneak her way into the female with everyone else too afraid of seeing her in elimination. - Camila
Not trying to disrespect a champion, but she needs to beat either Cara or Laurel to make it to the final, and possibly both. I love Camila, but that would be a god tier performance to get to the final. The game is stacked against her. - Amanda
Amanda is hoping she can be the lay-up in the final who takes 3rd place. Her and Ashley are BFF’s on this season, but only one can probably make it to the final the way the game is going. - Sylvia
If Sylvia wins another elimination, I’m calling some Sarah Greyson level bull-shit. That would just be weird and I would question why I watch this show.
