Luke Cage was amazing; we finally have a black superhero (without counting for the Black Panther or the Falcon) that has its own solo marvel film. This season we get to finally learn about Luke Cage origin, we were introduced to Luke Cage in Jessica Jones, but now we are mainly focus on Luke’s present and origin. Luke Cage is taken through the Joseph Campbell’s “The Hero with a Thousand Faces” and you get to learn that he stood up against bullies and other things that a hero must take on in his journey. I love this show, between the action, the Avengers references, the thrill, more modern love romance, and of course the bulletproof Cage. Our superhero nurse played by Rosario Dawson whom appeared in both Jessica Jones and Daredevil showed up to give Luke Cage a hand, and maybe she will be the The Defender version of Nick Fury of the Avengers. Mike Colter played Luke Cage perfectly and I can not wait to see him portray Luke Cage more. Great casting, marvel knows how to pick their actor and actress perfectly, and even double casting as they did with Alfre Woodard, whom appeared in a different role in “Captain America: Civil War”, in Luke Cage she takes on the villain version of “The Hero with a Thousand Faces”. Like any marvel film, you get sucked in to their world and you do not want to leave! This season of Luke Cage was amazing and I can not wait for season two and The Defenders!

I rate this season: Fucking Awesome!
