Disney-Pixar is a brand that many have grown up with. It has been producing quality movies and shorts since the two were separate entities, and they continue to do so today. I can remember numerous afternoons watching Toy Story with my brother and sister, it was the only movie we consistently agreed upon. Even more so, I remember staring at my own toys contemplating if they too came to life when I was out sight.

The Disney-Pixar brand is imaginative, progressive, and optimistic. Disney-Pixar movies can guarantee three main elements 1). There will always be a grand adventure, 2). A difficult topic will be introduced and explored, and 3). It will overcome by being proactive and seeing the best in the situation.

One of the reasons I personally love Disney-Pixar is that they address some hard topics, but they do so in a way that all ages can understand. This is similar to the Disney brand, but it is done so with all-inclusive relatable character, not just princesses. I love this Disney-Pixar Twitter post. In one picture it addresses a key element of its new movie The Good Dinosaur. Mainly that people are not always who we peg them as, and that everyone has struggles in their lives, even if they choose not to show them outright. Or this Facebook post, which plays out a scenario that many kids have experienced.

I think this is the main reason the brand is so successful, they provide content that is captivating to all ages. Disney-Pixar even sneaks in some parent specific humor.

Best yet, all of this is accomplished through the Disney-Pixar imagination. What begins as sketches and scribbles on paper, soon takes its audience on adventures that they want to repeat again and again.

Disney-Pixar does engage in content marketing. The blog, blogs.disney.com is a great example of how it uses branded content. The entire blog is related to all things Disney, whether it be Disney classics or Disney Channel Original Movies. On this blog they also post brand content, as shown in this example here.

From the Disney-Pixar Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter it appears the brand focuses primarily on native advertising. Disney-Pixar creates posts that are intriguing, funny, or uplifting that people want to share. This in itself is some of the best possible PR and advertising Disney-Pixar could use. The focus is creating continued brand loyalty with posts that will keep Disney-Pixar in our minds, not just our hearts.
