The Revenant

This is film making at its most brutal. You are plunged centre piece, close up into the heart of the action. You feel every punch, kick, stab, bite, maul and shot. You see all the snot and the suffering, the freezing cold and the fear. This is a 3 hour assault on the senses. There was almost a stunned silence at the end of the film as if we had been subject to a physical assault. A story of revenge, survival and the growing pains of a new nation. A must see if you have the stomach. (score 4/5).
