Turandot…

Glad to see Giacomo Puccini’s Turandot being performed at the Vienna Opera House in ‘mission impossible rogue nation’. “Nessun Dorma” (non shall sleep — translated) also being used as the underlying theme throughout the movie for me is simply…how do I say this without sounding cliché? Outstanding!

Por ti volare (for you I will fly — translated) by Andrea Bocelli now has serious competition in my heart for all time favourite opera pieces in the Aria category, i kid you not!

Gosh! I miss Pavarotti so much right now! Really glad he listened to his father & took up opera & leaving carpentry — the oligarchs would've probably never allowed me, one yeye Nigerian guy get any of his pieces, but his music? Nothing can hold music down. Especially with the way he performed this very piece with Placido Domingo & Jose Carreras Dare I say he made this piece what it is today?

Pavarotti…I wonder sometimes if he knew he had fans…scratch that,a fan in Nigeria?

Seen mission impossible rogue nation 5 times in two days now! Not sure if it’s cos Tom cruise (never fails to deliver in his action performing stunt by himself) or it’s the opera scene & soundtrack that gets to me, I myself do not know. Either way till the British release their ultimate franchise (007) anytime from now Rogue Nation has my heart (&blessing) for best movie in the action category for 2015 (sorry age of ultron but a great soundtrack is a great soundtrack — besides I waited till the end credits & didn’t see an additional clip this time, why? - i mean who does that?)

I do need sleep.

Hope I don’t find myself dreaming I’m hanging out the side of a Russian cargo plane while it leaves the ground! Nessun dorma once again has lived to it’s title within me.
