What guys we would like to see again from Invasion

I am going to be discussing who I believe should return from Challenge Invasion for Challenge 30. I’ve surveyed some super fans, looked at the players careers objectively, and used my own personal opinion(of course), to evaluate who should come back, how many seasons they have left in them, and what we would be okay with, etc.

Let’s that start with the guys:

1 Johnny Bananas
Do I want him on Challenge 30? No.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? Yes.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? Infinite. (What we want? 1–2 at the most)

Not a Bananas fan here, and most people are not at this point. While he does bring viewers in, most are kind of tired with his antics. The best season out of the last four is Exes 2, which he was eliminated for most of. He hasn’t earned his champ status since Free Agents. It is hard for me to imagine a season without him these days though.

2. CT aka Chris Tamburello
Do I want him on Challenge 30? Yes, if this is his last.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? No, unless his pay for appearance is the same as Bananas.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? 1–2 max.

CT just makes most seasons that he is on better. Exes 2, Duel 2, and Inferno 3 were all great seasons, but CT would have just made them so much better. CT’s appearance on Cutthroat made it a legendary season with the CT Gulag Backpack. In recent seasons his commentary has been hilarious, and he’s really gotten better at playing the game. Him being a dad is why I can see him walking away, which I think we are all fine with.

3. Darrell Taylor
Do I want him on Challenge 30? Yes.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? No, although Vevmo has him as most likely.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? 1.

Having Darrell back on this season just felt really good. I feel MTV needs to do Free Agents 2 or Duel 3 just for Darrell. He had said in interviews before Invasion that he wanted an individual format for when he made his comeback and they screwed over the champs and him on Invasion. He may never come back again, but I would love to see Darrell do one more. Last comeback he made(The Ruins), he came back the following season(Fresh Meat 2).

4. Zach Nichols
Do I want him on Challenge 30? Surprisingly, yes.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? No, apparently he dropped out.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? In my opinion, at least 1, but up to 4 if he can perform well.

Zach is a douche-bag, I don’t agree with anything he believes in politically, as a supporter of women I cannot cheer for Zach, and overall he’s been kind of a flop in recent season. However, I think Zach is a good competitor, he’s not what we thought he was going to be after Battle of the Seasons(2012), but he is not a bad competitor by an stretch of the imagination. Compare him to someone like Dario or Cory, he’s much better and is a good body to have for these Challenges. I just want him to do one Challenge with no expectations so he can be evaluated fairly.

5. Shane Landrum
Do I want him on Challenge 30? Yes.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? Yes, despite conflicting reports.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? 1 or 2.

He felt so positively about his Invasion experience that I believe he will be back for at least 1 more Challenge, either season 30 or 31 as long as it is not too theme restrictive(i.e. Exes, Couples).

6. Nelson Thomas
Do I want him on Challenge 30? Yes.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? Yes.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? 2 to 5.

Making the final in his second season(basically his first), is a big accomplishment. Even though he struggled in some daily challenges, Nelson won 3 eliminations, and led the alliance that controlled the Underdog game for most of the way. He may be dumb, but he is an able body who could become a Challenge regular.

7. Cory Wharton
Do I want him on Challenge 30? No.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? Yes.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? That we want, 1–2, that he wants, 3–6.

Cory has been a real loser. It made me upset to watch him beat Shane in the final elimination and make the final over him. MTV wants to force Cory as the face of the Challenge, and we have all basically replied: “No.”

8. Hunter Barfield
Do I want him on Challenge 30? Kinda.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? Yes.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? 3–5.

Hunter is top tier dumb person, however he is a very good athlete. He is skilled, fast, strong, and is basically good at most athletic events(he’s a baseball, football, soccer player). I love the anger he brings into the show for competition, but I would also like for him to stop being too roid-ragey. The problem with roids is that they make the competitor more fun to watch, but they also make them scarier and more prone to hit someone.

9. Dario Medrano
Do I want him on Challenge 30? Sure, whatever.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? Yes.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left. Between 1–6, depending on if he makes the final this season.

Dario and Cory have each done the last three seasons, and while Cory has made it to two finals, it seems like a battle of quality versus quantity. Cory has become less likable each season, while Dario has begun to charm us fans. He even is dating Ashley K, one of the 5 prettiest girls in the Challenge franchise currently. Good job, Dario, but if you can’t make a final after four attempts, it might be time for you and MTV to move on(unless you want to do AYTO Second Chances Season 2).

10. Tony Raines
Do I want him on Challenge 30? No.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? Yes.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? 1–5, I don’t want him back if he can’t make a final or win 3 eliminations in a season.

Just like Cory, MTV wants to push Tony as one of their future stars of the franchise. My problem with that is Tony cannot even get halfway through a season. Probably not a true fact, but his Real World season is probably more episodes than his three seasons of the Challenge total. He thinks he is a good competitor, and I just want to see him actually do something.

11. Anthony Bartolotte
Do I want him on Challenge 30? Yes.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? Sadly, no.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? 1–4.

Anthony is kind of off the grid compared to most Challenge competitors. He is a not a big social media person, he has twitter and IG, but he does not use it very much. He’s an incredible personality, a sexual threat wherever he is, and I wish we could get him back on for next season. He is too good looking to not give him a second chance on the show.

12. Theo Bradley
Do I want him on Challenge 30? No.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? No.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? 0–1, he has to prove himself after quitting.

I hated the people that said Theo should never be allowed to come back after quitting. I personally believe Theo, but it was his first Challenge, and I think everyone deserves a pass on their first go around. Theo deserves a 1 season ban from the show, but I do believe he deserves a chance at redemption.

13. Bruno Bettencourt
Do I want him on Challenge 30? No.
Do I expect him on Challenge 30? No.
How many Challenges do I think he has in him left? Maybe 1, if it is an Exes format with Jenna or Ashley K.

Bruno has stated that he is over reality tv or at least the Challenge. He is just not a good competitor, and I am not excited to watch him compete again, unless he is on an Exes season.
