MoiveBloc and Kaywon High School of Arts and co-host ‘Online Film Festival’

Hello MovieBloc community

During a time when film festivals are being cancelled and postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic, MovieBloc is set out to lift up the film community by hosting an online film festival on MovieBloc.

Our first partner, Kaywon High School of Arts, one of the most recognized and highly regarded art schools in Korea, decided to host the first online film festival and screenings on MovieBloc. MovieBloc has partnered with Kaywon High School of Arts and will be working together to co-host and premier quality films produced by students through ‘Online Film Festival’.

The Kaywon Film Festival is a film festival representing the theater and film department at Kaywon High School of Arts. More than 400 films have been produced by students aspiring to become film directors in over 20 years.

The 21st Kaywon Film Festival will run on MovieBloc from May 29th to June 7th. A total of 16 films will be screened during the festival period and online screenings will be held worldwide for free.

Kaywon High School of Arts

Kaywon High School of Arts, founded in 1980, is located in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, South Korea. The school, a subsidiary of PARADISE Group, has famous alumni such as actor Hwang Jung-min, Cho Seung-woo, Joo Won, Jeon Hye-bin, director Bora Kim, Chung Hyun Lee, and so on.
