Events and Announcements
Eco Child Online Film Festival
Eco child Film Festival, a program organized by Korea Green Foundation, Eco Child Center, and Seoul Eco Film Festival (SEFF), was hosted on MovieBloc. The event took place on two online platforms: ‘ifland’, a metaverse service by SK Telecom, and MovieBloc service. The event exhibited six films focusing on environmental issues for kids.
GISFF x MovieBloc Online Screening (~Nov. 16th)
After its successful offline event, 19th GwangHwaMun Int’l Short Film Festival 2021(GISFF 2021) is now on MovieBloc service. For four weeks, MovieBloc and GISFF are showcasing 56 short films that were exhibited at the offline event. The 56 films include films from not only International competition sections but also special programs focusing most popular Korean directors these days and Sundance Film Festival winning titles as well.
MovieBloc’s second NFT, Movie Card NFT with Lim SeongMi
MovieBloc released the second Movie Card series with Lim SeongMi, the Actor and Actress of the Year Award Winner at Busan Int’l Film Festival 2020.

MovieBloc Service Updates
In October, the dev team did the following updates on MovieBloc.
- Launched the “Package Purchase” function to the service
- Removed Dynamic link from the service that leads to app download page on Android device.
- Unified font styles on the overall service.
- Player UI bug fixed (After changing the streaming resolution, it was reported the player UI did not disappear)
