The 39th Seoul Institute of the Arts Film Festival will be held at MovieBloc

Hello MovieBloc Community,

From December 22, the <39th Seoul Arts Graduation Film Festival> and <Seoul Arts 10 Minute Film Festival> will be held at MovieBloc.com.

Seoul Institute of the Arts, the cradle of Korean film industry, have been producing many graduates who are consistently recognized for their original materials and eminent skills.

Due to COVID-19, this year’s SGFF will take place both online and offline. Offline event will be held at ‘Megabox Dongdaemun’ for just one day on Dec 22 and online film festival will be held at MovieBloc for 10 days from Dec 22 to 31.

At Moviebloc, 18 films produced by Seoul Institute of the Arts students at <10 Minute Film Festival> along with 19 of graduates’ films will be released. In particular, four of the award-winning works (hereinafter referred to as “Ready, Go! Award”) will be released two days before the festival begins, so please look forward to it.

At the offline festival, there will be an award ceremony after the movie screening. Along with the graduation film award, there will also be an award for writers and directors who have brought great honor to Korean film industry this year and an award for alumni who have graced their major in film at Seoul Institute of the Arts.

In 2019, Director Bong Joon-ho for writers award
/ Director Lee Ok-seop (class of 2012) and Actor&Director Koo Kyo-hwan (class of 2006) for alumni awards

All the films from SGFF can be watched free of charge after signing up at MovieBloc.

Meanwhile, from the 18th to the 20th, two days before the SGFF, the <3rd 900 won Film Festival> hosted by the Jinju Youth Film Club will be held, so come and enjoy various film festivals at MovieBloc.
