An interesting premise with lackluster execution.

Do you know someone who just has to be the best and outdo literally everyone else? They’re one of those people who has a crazy idea and will do everything they can in order to make it happen. They’re the ones who, when someone says something “can’t be done,” seem to laugh and then just decide to do it anyway.

After watching Lost in London, I found myself wondering if Woody Harrelson was one of those people. His directorial debut is an absolutely insane movie: they filmed it with one camera and streamed it live in select theaters. What an audacious idea for a movie, let alone the first one that you’re starring in, writing, and directing! Most people, for their first film, might have picked something a little more easily attainable.

Not Woody Harrelson — he was determined to go big or go home.

Lost in London is the story of a crazy night that Harrelson had in which he ended up in jail the night before he was supposed to take his family to meet Harry Potter. Yet, while watching, I didn’t find the evening all that crazy, nor did I feel like the way it was filmed actually enhanced the story at all.
