Every now and then we all do it: eating for pleasure and not out of necessity. Everyone should schedule certain days where they are allowed to eat whatever their heart and belly desires. We simply call this a typical cheat day. However, what happens after, and how do you bounce back efficiently from a binge?!

Hello Protein and Veggies!

Cheat meals count tons of (bad) calories; so combine it with a low-calorie day after and it will allow you to even out the calorie intake. Protein and Veggies are the perfect day after cheat meal.

Don’t Bump Up Your Calorie Burn!

Most people tend to think that the most effective solution is to bump up a calorie burn with a workout the day after cheat day. Wrong! Endurance cardio sessions combined with an improper diet will stress your body to its maximum. Stress overload causes cortisol; which is a stress hormone that has a relation to fat storage. The best solution is just to add an extra 20mins of cardio or add a couple more sets to your weight-training routine.

Drink Water! Lots of it!

Cheat meals usually contain a lot of salt and sugar (or both). The best way to bounce back from it is to flush the salt and other toxins with water. 2L of water is ideal.

Move On!

This one might sound cheesy and logical but it’s very hard for some people to put a cheat meal behind them. Guys, there’s nothing you can do about it, so don’t waste your time with all the guiltiness. Weight loss can be heavily impacted by your own mind and psycological features. Turn your cheat into motivation!

Hope this helps!
