I’m going to be a newbie at MozFest this year, running the social media in the YouthZone. Here’s what I’m looking forward to!

SURROUNDED BY PI
Although I wouldn’t mind being surrounded by food, I’m looking forward to getting my hands on Raspberry Pi’s and VR headsets. One of my personal missions is to try out VR, I’m excited to see what all the hype is about.

MEETING NEW PEOPLE
I love meeting new people and understand the power of networking. I hope to hear new stories from volunteers, Mozilla staff and sessions leaders.

CLEVER YOUNG PEOPLE
I’m passionate about young people and being based in the youth zone just goes hand in hand with that. I look forward to meeting clever young people delivering sessions as well as finding out how we can get more youngins to come along next year.

LEARNING NEW THINGS
Everyone is always learning. I expect I’m going to learn a lot through attending sessions and speaking with those in attendance. I would like to take home what I learn and use it in my work here at ionCube, as well as with the non-profits and youth groups I work with!

I’m thoroughly excited about the festival and I invite you to join me along the way on Twitter and on this blog.
