At MozFest, Private Internet Access Stands Up for User Privacy
A spotlight on Private Internet Access, the MozFest 2018 presenting sponsor
PIA, one of the world’s leading consumer VPN providers, has been in operation since 2010. They’re also a presenting sponsor at this year’s festival.
PIA, along with its affiliate companies under the London Trust Media umbrella, develops products and services that empower everyday internet users and prioritize freedom, privacy and human rights. PIA has garnered a sterling reputation, winning accolades from the likes of PC Magazine and Tom’s Guide.
Says Christel Dahlskjaer, PIA’s VP of Open Source and Digital Advocacy: “At PIA and LTMH, privacy is our policy and we strive to always put people ahead of profit. We seek to empower and encourage those around us in everything that we do, and we are incredibly committed to working alongside human rights organisations and other civil society organisations for the betterment of all.”
To Dahlskjaer and others at PIA, a healthy internet is one with “unfettered access available to everyone, everywhere, free from censorship and with access to information and resources.”
In addition to sponsoring MozFest this month, PIA is currently open-sourcing their client software stack. PIA is also in the early, invite-only beta stages of their new PiaX client.
