Join us for a week of networking & collaboration at MozFest House, 21–25 October
MozFest is just a few short weeks away! While the Festival culminates in a week-end blow-out, there are many opportunities to learn, network and collaborate all week long, in the more intimate setting of MozFest House.
House events are the perfect place to dive into the 2019 Festival theme “Healthy AI.” You’ll unpack how this emerging technology can be used for the benefit of all at Can machines think responsibly? a meetup presented by London Tech for Good. The BBC offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to discuss ongoing AI work and spread knowledge at their Machine Learning Fireside Chat. And in the training, Engaging Digitally with Youth Voice, Voice Magazine will help you take on AI from a youth perspective.
We’re thrilled to welcome Life Sci Hack to MozFest House. It’s a global traveling hackathon bridging the fields of software engineering and life science, and aiming to tackle the difficulties faced in big data, data interoperability, software toolkits, education, and AI/machine learning.
Returning to MozFest House this year is MisinfoCon London, where you’ll learn about current projects and brainstorm practical recommendations to combat misinformation around elections, media literacy, and our algorithmic society.
Looking to brush up on your organizing and community building skills? Check out Using Self-Organising Systems to build a decentralised movement presented by climate activists Extinction Rebellion. And join Mozilla staff for Movement Building for Internet Health, a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to use the principles of open leadership to mobilize your community around a healthier internet.
The week at MozFest House culminates with our Science Fair event. Science Fair is a fun mixer where you have a chance to explore exciting tech projects, from AI to indie games.This year at the Fair we’ll also be showcasing thriving projects from the Festival’s first ten years… the perfect way to kick off our 10th Anniversary Festival Weekend!

MozFest House is open Monday 21 through Friday 26 October, at the Royal Society of the Arts in Central London. Remember that you’ll need to register for each event separately via the links in the schedule. House events are NOT included in your MozFest weekend ticket.
