MozFest is thrilled to partner with Rooftop Films in bringing film and tech together at the RSA in London on Monday, 23 October starting at 7pm. Register here for free entrance. All of the films touch on the theme of society’s relationship with the Internet: digital privacy, cyberbullying, surveillance, accessibility, misinformation, and more.

We believe in the empowerment and learning potential of the Internet, which is why we are so interested in an open web that’s accessible to all. Like film, there’s a special magic in its ability to break down borders and share stories of intimate moments or national events. But some online users abuse the power of the Internet and some are abused by it — we hope to spark a thoughtful discussion about this issue.

“We’re excited to bring films to MozFest House because they allow us explore Internet health in an entirely new way. Listening to stories, and telling our own, encourages us to consider how we engage with technology, and each of these films is an accessible entry point into the discussion,” said Sarah Allen, MozFest’s Executive Festival Director.

Are you a film fan and/or web lover? Join us as we explore through film what’s helping and what’s hurting the web. We’ll be screening a series of short films including OK Google Now, Lovestreams, Our Friends Electric, and Pizza Surveillance.

Address: 8 John Adam Street

7:00–8:30: Film screening followed by Q&A with moderator Brett Gaylor
