The pharmacy is the most visited space in healthcare. Most importantly in Africa, the pharmacy is more than a drug retailer, it is also a primary healthcare provider. We created QualityRx to help pharmacies refurbish and modernize their outlets and introduce services that can empower their neighbourhoods to be in good health.
Today, we launched our QualityRx Service in Nigeria after a successful rollout in Ghana.
Greenvive Pharmacy, our 1st QualityRx pharmacy in Nigeria was established 10 years ago by Pharm Ndukwe. Mr. Ndukwe personifies patient centered healthcare. He knows all his patients by their first name and they confide in him with all their problems.
However, the pharmacy went through a challenging period which saw it running out of stock often. With minimal revenue, he could also not invest in improving the physical look of the pharmacy.

We want QualityRx to represent the best pharmacy in the neighbourhood. To do this, we are challenging what it means to be a pharmacy by enabling QualityRx members to proactively provide basic healthcare services in their neighbourhoods. One of the ways we accomplish this is through free health screenings as we did today.
At the health screening today, a man who attended was found to be at risk of heart failure. The mPharma team mobilised funds to send him to the nearest hospital for further care. Who knows what would have happened to him had he not stopped by the health screening.
Through QualityRx, we are implementing the best pharmacy management software called Bloom. Bloom was developed in house by our technology team to create an operating system that can enable us to transform community pharmacies into primary healthcare providers.
QualityRx is not only good for patients, it is also good business for the pharmacy owner. Below is the revenue growth graph from our first 2 QualityRx pharmacies in Ghana. Before they joined the network, their revenues were negligible.
Beyond the revenue numbers, customer confidence is up as stock outs are no longer a major problem. The mPharma Mutti service has also increased customer retention and loyalty by offering members the lowest prices and a bouquet of value added services like cash backs, deliveries and disease management for chronic patients..
