The Otherside Metaverse: Bored Ape Overview by Mr. Block

The Yuga Labs team announced the most hyped metaverse project of the year known as the Otherside, with minting to take place at the end of April! Yuga Labs, the company behind the infamous Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT project, has the crypto industry at its heels EAGER to own a piece of this sacred, digital, metaverse land.

Yuga recently airdropped $APE coin to the entire community (Bored apes, Mutants, and Kettle Dogs NFT holders). The gift that keeps on giving they say in Ape Land .. now confirmed that $APE token will operate at the epicenter of the entire Bored Ape Yacht Club Ecosystem, including the Otherside Land mint on April 30, 2022. . The Land sale has been confirmed to be priced at 305 $APE token per plot.

Explanation:

So what exactly is “Otherside”? In partnership with Animoca brands, The Otherside metaverse aims to be the decentralized Web 3 metaverse of the future. Basically, it’s a highly anticipated Metaverse project. Watch out Meta, Sandbox, Decentraland .. Seems now all eyes are on the Bored Apes and the Otherside Metaverse.

The official land sale and release date is set for April 30, 2022 at 12 pm ET. If you want to participate in this mint (only doable with $APE) you had to complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) at “somethingisbrewing.xyz.” It will be done via a Dutch auction. Additionally all BAYC and MAYC holders will be able to claim an NFT for exactly 21 days after the mint which doesn’t require the KYC.

Kodas will be airdropped to random Ape land owners. These Kodas are NFTS within the Bored Ape ecosystem that will serve as future utility within the Otherside Metaverse, perks and explanations have yet to be announced. It wouldn’t surprise us to see these Kodas sitting higher than Kettle Dogs (at the time of writing, Kettle Dogs sit around 11 ETH).

What started off as just an idea one year ago, has turned into a multi billion dollar brand. With the Ape takeover we’ve seen take place since the birth of BAYC, it wouldn’t be surprising to see this metaverse flourish longer term.
