To the young joyful me,

Looking at the sun is the best you can do, but as for me I’ve lost sight of it. Indulged to my own self pity, nothing is as painful as the growth that never learned to forgive itself. Many years has past and all I’ve learned is pain, hatred, regret, sorrow, and jealousy. For this I lost track of my own identity. Everyday I couldn’t believe I was once a kid with such big dreams. It’s a shame that all seems unrealistic of my past self as of now.

This pain is coming soon and it’ll paralyze you. Before this pain comes, I want you to learn to forgive yourself, which that is all I ask of you. Without forgiveness is a world of pain that you’ll indulge yourself into. You don’t wanna become like me, for I lived with this for three years. I’ve lost my light while I could see yours brighter than I remembered. Just don’t takes your chances for granted, for I lost every opportunity I ever wanted.

Take this as a warning, as for I wished for you to succeed. I’ve had enough and it’s up to you to turn things around. Just remember, learn to love yourself.

Sincerely,

Future you
