The Powerball Lottery was won in three different places by three different people. One was won in Chino Hills, California at a 7-Eleven; another in Munford, Tennessee; and the last one in Melbourne Beach, Florida; all which were at 7-Elevens. The winning numbers were 08, 27, 34, 04, 19. Crowds descended on the California store that sold a winning ticket, with customers snapping pictures and congratulating the sales associate. The store will receive a $1,000,000 bonus, lottery officials said. The cycle will start again on Saturday night when the next Powerball drawing will have an estimated jackpot of $40 million, according to the lottery operator’s website. For every $1 worth of Powerball sales, half goes to prizes, 40 percent is earmarked for things such as education, and 10 percent goes to retailers who sell the tickets and administrative costs, Grief said.
