AP Exams are starting this week! Exams are given out from May 2nd to May 13th whereas senior finals are from May 9th to May 12th. It is troubling that both are so close. Are you worried about how to prepare for them? Well, here are some tips!

The most important tip is to PRIORITIZE. You only have so much time to study. Create a list of the tests you have to take and rank them in chronological order so that you can create a schedule (e.g. spend Wednesday studying for your AP Calculus exam on Thursday, then start preparing for another after). You can also spend more time on classes that you know you struggle in and less time on classes where you excel in.

Another tip is to GET A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP. Sleep is crucial to your health and it affects your performance. You wouldn’t want to take a test after waking up on the wrong side of the bed. Getting enough sleep will keep you alert during long tests rather than falling asleep and making careless mistakes. So instead of staying up to cram, go to sleep early! Besides, you can’t really learn anything new the night before, just review and be confident with what you already know.

On the day of your exam, WAKE UP EARLIER. It may be hard for some to wake up earlier, but I encourage you to do so because it will give you time to EAT A HEALTHY BREAKFAST. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It will help you focus whereas an empty stomach is often distracting. Lastly, make sure to BE ON TIME. You wouldn’t want to be at a time disadvantage right?

I hope the tips were helpful. Good luck to everyone and don’t forget that graduation is coming soon so continue to do your best!
