Can You Drink Coffee in Intermittent Fasting? Here's the Answer

One of the most popular methods to lose weight lately is intermittent fasting which is usually of the 16/8 or 18/6 kind which means that 8 hours we can feed ourselves with food while 16 hours we consume nothing.
A question that I’ve seen more and more often on the internet and which is debated by many specialists is whether we can consume coffee or just water during the intermittent fasting break.

In this article I will tell you what is my opinion after I have studied this issue being a very big fan of intermittent fasting.
I used it for the first time last year to lose weight but in a very short time it became part of my life and now I consider it as a lifestyle and not a diet.

The benefits of intermittent fasting appear after about 12 hours when the food is completely digested by the body and the body starts to convert fat into energy to continue its functioning.
The maximum level of fat burning for conversion into energy is between 18–24 hours.

Now to answer the question if during this period of food break we can consume a coffee, well we should know that a coffee without sugar and without milk has 2kcal.
