Humans have a knack, you see,
To grumble on quite endlessly.
From shops to trains, in queues we stew,
Complaints are what we always do.

In the kirana shop, a lady sighs,
“Tomatoes too soft, always too soft,
And the milk? A day past fresh, disgraceful!”
The shopkeeper nods, not very graceful,
“That’s life, madam, can’t change nature’s might.”

On the local train, a gent mutters,
“Seats too hard, fans barely flutter,
Blowing like it’s summer, oh the sweat!”
His friend laughs, “Better than no fan yet,
Yesterday, we thought we’d melt.”

In the queue for the bus, a student grumbles,
“Why’s it always late? My schedule crumbles!”
A worker beside him shrugs and says,
“Same old story, day after day,
Best get used to this sorry tale.”

At the chai stall, a woman scoffs,
Chai’s too sweet, samosa’s too tough.
Do they know nothing about a decent snack?”
Her friend smirks, “Well, imagine that,
Perhaps we should teach them how to fry.”

On the busy street, a chap moans,
“Traffic’s mad, and the honking drones.”
A passerby chimes in,
“They should charge a fee for this sin,
Might clear the roads up, don’t you think?”

In the lift, an elderly man complains,
“Music’s dreadful, it’s frying my brains.”
A young lad with headphones on,
“Mine’s better, come on,
Have a listen, it’s pure gold.”

In the park, a jogger pants,
“These paths are cracked, I almost can’t.
Keep my pace without a trip.”
A dog walker laughs, “Oh, the slip!
Municipality’s got potholes to fix first.”

At the supermarket, a dad groans,
“Self-checkout’s broken, all the moans.
Need a proper till, this is dire!”
His toddler, wide-eyed, no sign of ire,
“Why do we come here then, Dad?”
He sighs, “Good question, kid, I feel quite mad.”

We moan and groan, from dawn till dusk,
About life’s trials, so mundane and brusque.
Why do we complain, what’s the gain?
Maybe it’s just human, part of our brain,
To vent and sigh, it’s how we cope,
With life’s small woes, it gives us hope.

Thanks for reading, I hope you had a laugh,
A chuckle, a giggle, maybe even a gaff!
