Inside the City of Birmingham with a panoramic view of a vibrant city alive with energy. Maya rides in a sleek, armored vehicle as President Humberto’s entourage follows closely behind, navigating through wide, tree-lined streets that pulse with life.
They arrive in Ellington Village, where rows of charming houses line the streets where most of her people lives. Next, they pass through Smithfield, another lively neighborhood buzzing with activity. Street vendors sell colorful fruits, and happy Harlemite families gather in parks under the sun that peak through the smokey clouds.
The group stops at a popular restaurant, its neon sign is flickering, teasing the brain to try it out. Inside the restaurant’s atmosphere is relaxed and unconventional. Maya’s eyes widen as she notices groups of people smoking marijuana openly in the inside and outdoor tables, their expressions peaceful and content. The scent wafts through the air, blending with the aroma of spicy food.
Humberto explains, “Marijuana is considered healthy here its used to promote peace and calm. It’s a way to keep our community relaxed and harmonious.”
Soon after eating they walk into a nearby strip club, where the lively sounds of music fill the air. Inside, open sex work is part of the local economy regulated and accepted as a normal aspect of city life. Maya looks surprised but…
