Fade Away
Heartbroken Soul
Let them fade away,
Like dust to the ground,
Saw to the dust,
Wingless birds.
The whirlwind, let it carry them away,
Far beyond reach.
Dreadful soul,
Fade away.
Wash my legs,
Let the water wash my legs.
Clean them from all pain,
Let it cleanse it, free me from all burden.
Heavy legs, go away.
Fade away, oh wretched soul.
Please, fade away.
Pits, deeps, far, wide —
In all directions, fade off.
Shadows follow,
Go away without trace.
Smell, taste, touch — all gone,
Gone beyond reach.
Lacking its glory.
Fade like trees.
Fall to the ground, swept by winds.
Decay as food,
Seen as graves.
