How Did My Friend’s Weight Loss Plan Fail?
My friend told me he was starting his weight loss journey.
“From today, I’ll only eat one roti for breakfast and nothing else for the next 24 hours. This will help me lose weight,” he said confidently.
Now, I know my friend well. He’s always jumping into these sudden challenges but never sticks to them long enough to see real results.
It’s like a cycle.
I looked at him and said, “That’s not the right way to go for it.”
He looked confused. “Then what should I do?”
I explained,
“I know your habits. You always take an extreme approach. Like, when you work out or go for a walk, you go all in, thinking that if you push yourself hard today, you’ll see results immediately. But after one day, you’re exhausted, and then you can’t get yourself to do it for weeks. You can’t apply that same mindset to weight loss. It’s about gradual progress.”
I continued,
“Weight loss doesn’t happen by cutting everything out overnight. You need a strategy. Start slow, reduce unhealthy things one by one, and replace them with healthier options that keep your energy…
