How to Choose Topics for Articles on Medium

I’ve noticed lately very good articles that Medium members send to me for approval in the publication, but unfortunately the topics are not chosen or they are chosen completely wrong.

Why is it good to choose topics when publishing an article?

It is good to choose the maximum number of topics allowed by Medium because these will be the niches where our articles will go. This will help you find readers who are interested in those niches.

If you don’t choose the right topics, your article will get lost in the thousands of published articles and you will most likely not see the results you expect.

How do we choose the best topics with the most readers?

We go to the Explore topics — Medium link where we have a list of all existing topics.

The ones with big black letters in bold are the big topics that usually have the most readers, and usually where the most competition is.
