I Quit the Keto Diet After Just 14 Days. Here is why
When I wrote the article about intermittent fasting I received a few messages from people asking me if I have ever tried the Keto diet and what my opinion about it is.
In the past I tried it but I gave up after only 14 days, and in this article I will tell you the reasons why I did so.
For those of you who don’t know what the Keto diet is, it requires a high fat intake of somewhere around 70–80%, 15–20% protein and very little carbohydrates. It aims to utilize ketone bodies instead of glucose for the body’s energy.
Why have I quit this diet?
Even if at the beginning in the first days I lost a few pounds and hoped that I had found the miracle diet I realized that this is actually due to water loss.
In addition it was very difficult for me to eat every day such a high level of fats and very little carbohydrates especially since I tried it during the summer period when this is extremely difficult.
Also when I tried this diet I went to my nutritionist who told me that if I want to do this I need to take vitamin and mineral supplements because this diet will bring me an extremely low ratio.
