My 1-Hour Bedtime Routine That Transformed My Sleep
Discover the simple habits I follow every night to fall asleep faster, wake up refreshed, and finally beat restlessness.
For a long time, I had nights where I would wake up at 3 a.m. and couldn’t get back to sleep no matter what I did.
This made me extremely tired during the day and unproductive at work. In addition, I was extremely irritable, which, although medically explainable, is difficult for those around me to understand.
I had all these problems until I contacted a doctor who told me that he uses a routine that helps him sleep without any problems. From that moment on, the nights when I woke up became increasingly rare, and most of the time I was able to fall asleep very quickly.
In this article, I will tell you what this routine is and I hope it will help you too.
First of all, an hour before bedtime, I turn off my phone and TV. Most of the time, exposure to light and information causes problems at night and you end up waking up.
Considering that I aim to fall asleep at 10 p.m. every night, I start doing this around 9 p.m. and open a book, reading 20–30 pages. This helps me tire my eyes without exposing them to the light from my phone or TV.
