PLAYBOY

In 1953, there was a famous player in the entertainment and business world introduced by Hugh Hefner with the ideas of Victor Aubrey Lownes. As many of us are aware from the online movies and the most popular bunnies. This kind of thing existed before us; it was a unique idea to provide a different type of entertainment to the audience. Some people later on fought against the idea, and there was so much going on at that time. And the controversy from Penthouse magazine — yes, this was another famous magazine that was introduced in the middle when the Playboy enterprise was at its peak. So let us move on and start it.

This is the famous symbol of Playboy.
The Playboy

The famous Playboy was started in Chicago in 1953 by Hugh Hefner and his associates. There were not many associates who helped to start this company; as per the available online information and some TV series, there were around a few people, like 3 to 4. It started with the idea of its main founder, Hugh. He wanted to start something unique that could establish a good reputation during this time. There is a separate story behind that. One day, when Hugh Hefner was working at a job, he asked his employee to give him some pay, around 5 dollars. But at that time, his employee did not agree with that hike and denied his request. Since then, Hugh has been looking to start something of his own. And it brought up the idea of Playboy. This big, giant magazine that was expanded into many things, like there was a TV show, started its name, and I think its name was Playboy’s Penthouse. And also, started their premium club across Europe and the US.

Marilyn Monroe:

At the time of starting Playboy, the founder was looking for something stellar that could make its space in the market, so somehow he found and bought the rights to the famous American model and actress picture “Marilyn Monroe.” Which was found out to be one of his good decisions. And it had an impact on the audience, but later on, matching up with the same quality created an issue. Which was resolved by some good models.

Playboy Magazine:

The magazine contained jokes and semi-nude photos of models that they used to call “Playmates”. The magazine also included famous comedian jokes on its pages. And it does not stop here. As it was premium, they also expanded with famous people’s interviews. They used to conduct VIP interviews and print them in their magazine. Later on, when they crossed their sale to their competitor, it was the same employee who refused to increase the 5-dollar hike in the Playboy Founder Hugh Hefner. There were other competitors also, but this was the main one that was noticed due to the 5-dollar hike. So it was working fine with the magazine unless one of the new competitors came into the market and published their magazine called “Penthouse.”.
Penthouse was the magazine that broke all lines of sexuality. They started publishing half-nude models, including their pubic hair. That was what attracted that audience. And it made a point toward the Playboy founder, Hugh. He was thinking of coming up with something better than Penthouse. Due to the peak of Penthouse among people. So Hugh Hefner overcame this and made some changes. They started coming out with some more explicit pictures of their staff. And it put them in first place in the race of Playboy vs. Penthouse.

Playboy Clubs:

They started their clubs on 29th February 1960. Where they introduced the concept of the Famous Bunnies. The bunnies were trained to provide the best qualities and a different kind of serving style. Which attracted people, and people liked them. So that is why people started coming to their clubs in Bulk.

When it was launched, they introduced the famous rabbit symbol on keys to enter those clubs. So there was a special kind of rabbit symbol. Which was provided to the club members to get entry into the clubs. Otherwise, they would not enter. It was like a membership; if you had the symbol, then you were already part of the membership. People used to come and have fun at that time. Later on, some big names were also found in that club who used to come. And they denied it later.

Hugh Hefner: The Famous Playboy

Hugh was not the kind of man he became; that is what is in the information that is available online. After he met Victor Aubrey Lownes, who was popular in the days. Then he became like him. Not sure, 100 percent, but he accepted some of his qualities from being married to a bachelor again and having a girlfriend from one to the other. These changes occurred in his life. Meanwhile, he was a workaholic and good for his business. He gave his work as a priority unless he faced some serious experiences. He used to work a lot in the Playboy offices and did not have time for family due to his hectic schedule and passion for Playboy. Eventually, it paid him, but with some backlashes. Later on, he had some vacation time with his girlfriend, and at that time, he handed over some part of his business to Victor Aubrey Lownes and some friends.

Hugh Hefner’s loyal colleague:
There was an intellectual lady who died due to her boyfriend’s drug deal. As per the online information, some people tried to establish a link between that drug deal and the famous name “Playboy.” Later on, “Bobbie Arnstein” did not want to testify against Hugh Hefner, so she committed suicide in a hotel on the 19th of January, 1975. And after that, Hugh came with a press conference on this. Which was a great loss for him as a colleague.

Funded:
This famous company was funded by a $1,000 loan from Hefner’s mother. She gave her money to make her son’s dream come true. Which happened later on.

Nowadays:
The Famous Playboy has changed their motto now from “Entertainment for Men” to “Pleasure for All.”. They are trying to keep their legacy. And the famous man era ended on 27th Sep 2017. When the Famous Playboy died, Hugh Hefner.

Conclusion:
In my point of view, something great started with some great people and a great leader. And now, that era has ended. Some other days, someone will start their era. And I cannot deny some have started and are pursuing it further…to become the famous PLAYBOY in their field. These kinds of passionate people are few. But they are like stars; when they shine, they glitter in the sky.
