In today’s world ,screens have become an integral part of our daily lives. From smartphones to computers, televisions to tablets, we find ourselves constantly surrounded by glowing rectangles that demand our attention. But as we immerse ourselves deeper into the digital mania, a pressing question arises: Are we forgetting to live?

The Rise of Screen Addiction

The average global screen time has reached a crazy 6 hours and 40 minutes per day(imagine 1/4 of the day), with some countries like South Africa reporting even higher numbers at 9 hours and 24 minutes daily. This dramatic increase in screen usage has led to a phenomenon known as “screen addiction,” where individuals struggle to control their device usage and experience negative consequences as a result.

Be it when I am on the road, the metro, the airport, school waiting area, shopling mall. People are just on their mobiles and not really aware of whats happening around them. As someone who is cautious on road, I am always worried as I see so many people on phones , watching videos or texting while driving. This is especially scary on crowded roads. One wrong move and you are done. At traffic signals, drivers can’t resist the urge to check their phones.
