Considering the fact that there is only a month until summer and each of us wants to have a body as beautiful and ready for the beach, I have heard many people who are taking all kinds of slimming cures.
In this article I will tell you why I think it is good that in this period of weight loss in which we try to have a caloric deficit as constant as 500kcal / day to take protein supplements.
Proteins are extremely important to avoid muscle loss so each person should consume on average 1–1.5g protein per kilogram body.
Considering the fact that I am 75kg and I want to drop down to about 72kg by the beginning of June I need to consume somewhere around 70 grams of protein.
Bearing in mind that I am 32 years old and 1,72m tall I burn about 1800kcal at rest to which is added about 400 kcal due to the physical exercises I do daily and activities at work.
Considering that my goal is to have a caloric deficit of 500kcal in order to lose about 0.5–0.8kg/week means that I can consume 1700kcal as food from which I take 70g of protein.
