A Mini-comic — Why Are Comic Scans Free?
Our attempt to raise awareness of scanlations through a mini-comic
Whenever authors requested us to take their comics down, we’ve always honored it. But when it happens, fans get upset when they suddenly can’t read their favorite comics anymore.
Their solution? Jump to another pirate website while the piracy problem continues.
Readers, who are unaware of scanlations and its impact, will follow the free content from one scan site to another. This is how numerous scan sites exist and flourish.
The thing is, many of our existing readers and online comic readers don’t understand the impact of piracy.
That’s why we decided to use content removal as a chance to inform existing readers about piracy and gather their support to help us turn legitimate.
