Neither humanity nor AI is inherently super smart, but the step-by-step saga of humanity illustrates the surprising nature of evolution. At a certain point in human development, individuals began surging their own intelligence, how it was created, its existence, and its future. Consequently, they grew curious about replicating such intelligence, leading humans to start on the journey of creating AI. The rapid pace of AI evolution serves as a clear demonstration of humanity’s intelligence at this juncture in its evolution.

Humans are amazing, we’re super creative and have deep feelings, showing how cool evolution is. From ancient times we’ve always been great at expressing ourselves, making things, and understanding others. Our ability to feel different emotions, think about what’s right and wrong, and connect with each other makes us something different apart from everything else in nature. But, of course, we’ve had some tough times too. Things like wars, unfairness, and environmental problems remind us that we’re not perfect.

But when it comes to artificial intelligence (AI), it’s like a mix of human smarts and technology moving forward. AI uses tons of data and exceptional computer programs to change how things work in fields like healthcare and finance. It’s super powerful, doing things we never thought possible before. Like, think about self-driving cars or those personalized suggestions you get online, that’s all thanks to AI.

So, what is the borderline? It’s consciousness.

Consciousness emerges as a beacon of introspection and self-awareness, distinguishing humans from the realm of artificial intelligence (AI). Our consciousness grants us a unique perspective on the world, an inner place of thoughts, emotions, and subjective experiences that shape our reality. Even though AI has advanced a lot, it still can’t understand consciousness, showing how mysterious humans really are.

Even though AI lacks consciousness, It is currently capable of remarkable levels of computation and problem-solving. Despite advances in machine learning and neural networks, AI remains bound by the confines of algorithms and data, a sophisticated tool invented by human creators. While AI systems can mimic human behavior and perform tasks with superhuman efficiency, they lack the subjective experience that defines human consciousness.

When creativity emerges, so does perplexity, deeply connected with a cosmic theory known as entropy. This is where humanity’s gift lies, in creativity, granting us the essence of living. The day humanity can express consciousness mathematically will mark the moment when humanity has completely replicated itself into a machine.

A research paper which was published in the International Journal of Advancements in Research and Technology, vol.1, no. 6, p.164–167 in 2012 pointed out that based on the concepts ‘Double Relativity Effect. ‘Film theory of the Universe’, ‘Heart of the God model of the universe’, and ‘Spacetime equivalence’, it is concluded that consciousness is defined in terms of physics as the electromagnetic field containing electromagnetic waves of velocity greater than that of light velocity.? Also, it is concluded that because of this high velocity, the cell or any living organism will get the perception of events before their happenings. This phenomenon is one of the properties of feeling which is a constituent of consciousness. The degree or strength of consciousness can be measured and defined as the distance of the point of generation of the conscious wave from the center of space-time fluid related to consciousness. It can be measured by the equation VCW3.d2= Constant. Where ‘VCW’ is the velocity of consciousness wave observed. The unit of measurement for the degree or strength of consciousness is the ‘conscious meter’.

Also, the journey towards artificial general intelligence (AGI) represents a convergence of human ingenuity and technological progress, a quest to imbue machines with human-like cognition and understanding. AGI holds the promise of machines that not only excel at specific tasks but possess a comprehensive understanding of the world, a milestone that could revolutionize industries, reshape societies, and redefine the very nature of consciousness.

Scientists are looking into making AI more like humans by understanding consciousness better. They study how humans and other creatures experience things and know themselves. They use different theories and computer models to figure it out. This quest brings up big questions about what it really means to think and be smart.

As we think about consciousness and the evolution of AI, it becomes vital to approach these questions with humility, curiosity, and ethical awareness. While AI is good at certain tasks, it is our consciousness that fills life with meaning, empathy, and moral reasoning. As we think about AI’s future and the mysteries of consciousness, let’s also try to understand ourselves and the world we live in.
