July Community Call Summary | mStable
Couldn’t make our community call? Here’s what you missed!
Our July Community Call took place in Discord on July 30th at 430am UTC. The goal of our call included updating the community on recent developments to mStable and governance, as well as getting a demo from Zakku from Coordinape to explore their platform and how we can leverage it in mStable. Most of the discussion was on Coordinape, but we have separated that information into another blogpost (Metanauts Guide to Coordinape — coming soon).
Part one: Updates to mStable
- We are thinking about the future of MTA staking. We’re focused on making the migration as seamless as possible, offering bonus incentives for migration, and a gauge system for reward emissions along with vote delegation
- Alchemix feeder pool launched on July 13, 2021
- Collaborations with FRAX, BadgerDAO, Pool Together, Balancer, Huobi mobile app
- Core contributors hiring for BD, engineering and marketing
- Cam Soulsby onboarded as our new hire for operations
Part two: Governance proposals
- Safesnap vote has passed which locks in core contributor funding for the next 12 months. This was one of the first ever snapshot votes that used the SafeSnap module to translate the vote outcome into an on-chain event. To learn more, please check out this article
- GrantsDAO is spinning up and we’ve already reviewed our first round of grant applicants. We’ve already allocated 100k MTA for grants in Q3, 2021
- MCCP4 extension for rewards (5 weeks remaining)
- SubDAO structures forming to increase efficiency of governance and decrease signer overhead for the mStableDAO
Part three: Zach from Coordinape
Please check out this blogpost (coming soon) for an introduction and more information on Coordinape.
Wrapping up
We gave away an exclusive POAP which is a fun collectable NFT and can be used to enter into future mStable raffles.
