Hello friends 👋

Today mStable is excited to announce our Developer Grants Program.

Through this initiative, we’ll be looking to distribute up to USD $200k over the next 12 months to relevant and valuable contributors to the mStable project and community.

This post will aim to answer some of the initial questions you might have about the program. Further information can be found on our GitHub repository, which you should read before applying.

What Are We Funding?

The mStable grants team is looking to mainly fund development efforts from members of the community. More specifically we’re looking to fund the following broad verticals:

  • MTA integration into applications (MTA utility)
  • mUSD / mBTC integrations (mAsset utility)
  • Community tools (explorers, wallets, .info sites, forums, etc.)

Over the coming weeks there might be several more specific Requests for Proposal (RFPs) on our GitHub repository which could give you some ideas about the specific things that we’re looking to fund.

In the coming weeks we will launch a separate community grants organisation in order to incentivise the best possible contributions within our various communities such as Discord, and the mStable forum. If you’re non-technical but still looking to get involved in mStable, keep your eyes out for that.

How Much Funding Can I Get?

Each project can get up to a maximum of USD $50k, paid out in mUSD.

There will be a 20% bonus for teams who are willing to accept part or full-payment in MTA, though this will be subject to vesting over the course of two years.

Projects looking to secure more than $50k in funding, should consider splitting their work up into multiple proposals.

How Do I Apply?

Check out the mStable Dev Grants GitHub repository for more detailed instructions about how to apply for a grant.

There you will find a template application which you should copy and modify appropriately before submitting.

We’re excited to be investing materially into our community and are looking forward to working with you to bring some of your mStable ideas to life!

Sincerely,

The mStable Team

Stay in the loop
