How to claim UNI tokens with Bridge Wallet
Have you ever used Uniswap through Bridge Wallet? If yes, you have free UNI tokens to claim!
If you have made any transaction with Uniswap before September 1st 2020 you are eligible to receive UNI tokens, Uniswap’s protocol token that was announced and released on September 16th 2020.
This guide shows you how to claim them from Bridge Wallet.
Before you start
Make sure that you have enough Ethers on the wallet address from which you are claiming your UNI tokens.
You will need to pay for the claim transaction’s gas fees, which have been unusually high since UNI’s release.
If you plan to cash-out your UNI immediately, you will also need to prepare enough Ethers to pay for the transaction fees to swap UNI into ETH/DAI/USDT/USDC, then cash-them out on your bank account (see exchange rates here).
You can check the current gas prices recommended on etherscan.io/gastracker.
2: Connect with WalletConnect
Click on “Connect to a wallet” on the top right of the screen, then select “WalletConnect”.
3: Scan the QR code with Bridge Wallet
Open Bridge Wallet, then go to Settings > WalletConnect > Scan.
Keep that screen open.
4: Claim your UNI tokens
Click on “Claim your UNI tokens”.
Click on “Claim UNI”.
5: Confirm the transaction in Bridge Wallet
In Bridge Wallet’s WalletConnect screen, you will now have a summary of the claim transaction.
If you are ok with the estimated transaction costs displayed, click on “Approve”.
Always double check the current gas prices recommended on etherscan.io/gastracker.
6: Wait for the transaction to go through
You can check the status of the transaction by entering your wallet address on etherscan.io and clicking on the transaction’s hash to see its details and estimated processing time.
7: Congrats!
You have successfully claimed your UNI tokens and they are now visible on your address.
Uniswap has offered UNI tokens to each address that has used their platform, so don’t forget to claim UNI tokens with each address that you may have used!

8: Add the UNI token to Bridge Wallet
To add the UNI token to Bridge Wallet’s main screen, click on “Add an Asset” in the “Assets” tab of the app’s wallet screen, then enter UNI’s contract address or scan its QR code that you can both find on the UNI contract Etherscan page.
