I live about 30 minutes away from Nashville, Tennessee in the city of Murfreesboro, where I attend Middle Tennessee State University. Even though I have lived here almost my whole life, I have yet to find many activities there that I’m interested in; that’s when living close to the music hub of Nashville is convenient. Here are some of my favorite Locations in Nashville:

  1. War Memorial Auditorium

301 6th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37243

Located on 6th Avenue N, War Memorial Auditorium is one of my go to places to be for fun. It hosts concerts from bands and performers big and small. I love going to concerts, and the smaller venue is perfect if you don’t want to go a giant venue like Bridgestone Arena, for example. Buying tickets is very easy for the location. You just go to their website where they have a list of upcoming concerts. If you don’t want to stand in all the action, there is even a second floor to the concert hall with seats!

2.The Parthenon

2500 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203

The Parthenon in Nashville is a replica of the actual parthenon that existed in Ancient Greece. The huge building shows visitors exactly how it looked so many years ago, including a giant statue of Athena. The Parthenon sits on a large family-friendly park that holds many fun events that everyone can enjoy. I highly recommend this place if you want to see some realistic Greek history.

3. The Pancake Pantry

1796 21st Avenue S, Nashville, TN 37212

The Pancake Pantry, located on 21st avenue S, is one of my favorite places to eat in Nashville. They make amazing homemade pancakes and other foods. Visitors come from all over to eat there. The one downside about the place is that it’s so popular and delicious, you should expect a large line outside the restaurant waiting to get in. I think it’s worth it because of the wonderful food and comforting atmosphere, and lots of other people do too!

4. Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center

2800 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN 37214

The Opryland Hotel and Convention Center is a beautiful hotel with many fun activities to do. It is just a walk away from the giant Opry Mills Mall. The hotel is almost like a small town. The hotel rooms themselves surround a large glass dome with buildings and shops and restaurants. There are small forests and waterfalls where you can walk and look at lights during the Christmas season. For Christmas, the hotel goes all out. They start putting up their decorations in the summer in order to get them all up in time for the holidays.

My family and I used to go there every Christmas season. You don't even have to stay in the hotel to enjoy the inside! It's so much fun to walk around in.

5. Schermerhorn Symphony Center

1 Symphony Pl, Nashville, TN 37201

The Schermerhorn Symphony Center is one of my top places to go in Nashville. I’ve been there multiple times with my middle school and high school bands. The building is beautiful and everyone is sure to find a symphony performance that interests them. A few years ago, they played a composition inspired by the book Don Quixote. It was really fun to listen to and see it.
