Exam AZ-900

Azure or simply Microsoft cloud service platform is one of the top-tier cloud facilities out there. From a wide range of availability zones to different levels of securities, Azure gives a number of helpful service options.

Microsoft also provides learners an option to learn about different services through Microsoft-Learn. Microsoft learn has a number of courses and each course contains modules of a specific domain.

AZURE FUNDAMENTALS is the course for learning about cloud services or cloud-based solutions provided by Microsoft, this course helps the candidates who want to appear for the AZ-900 exam.

This covers 6 modules, namely about-

Part 1- Azure core concepts

Part 2- Azure core services

Part 3- Azure core solutions and management tools

Part 4- Azure general security and network security

Part 5- Azure identity, governance and compliance features

Part 6- Azure cost-management and service level agreements

HOW TO PREPARE FOR AZ-900

It is highly advised to complete the modules provided under Microsoft azure fundamentals. The modules talk about the areas mentioned above, the exam is also designed in a similar manner, if you are thorough with modules you will not face much difficulty in the exam.

AZ-900 is completely based on your understanding of the modules. Each part of the module also has ‘knowledge checks’ that can be used to understand the pattern of questions that can be asked in the exam.

Once you have done all the modules and knowledge checks you can move onto sample questions that are available on different websites across the web. Going through a sample of hundred to two hundred questions would be sufficient to understand exam patterns and will also be very helpful to check your understanding of the topics before the exam.

Personally, I would advise you to start with sample questions no later than 7-days before your AZ-900 exam. A period of 7 days would be sufficient to go through all the questions more than once and correcting your mistakes or working on your weak areas. Also, directly doing sample questions without completing modules will create more understanding issues and might result in failing to pass the final exam.

TIME REQUIRED TO PREPARE FOR EXAM

The whole content that I talked about above can easily be managed and covered in a matter of 4–5 weeks, some might even require less than 4 weeks to cover everything.

Register for the exam only after you have completed each and every module.

ABOUT AZ-900 EXAM

Passing marks for the exam is 700 points, you are evaluated on the choices you mark and each option carries a significant point in multi-option blanks. The time provided is 80 minutes and it is advised to log in before 30 mins of the scheduled time as it takes 15-20 minutes to submit identity proof and also provide real-time photos of the surroundings.

The exam is hosted by Microsoft in different modes. Due to the pandemic, most students gave the exam online through proctored mode. This is done through Pearson VUE. All the instructions will be given to you through emails and will also be available on the portal.

Make sure to sit in a well-lit area with no technical devices such as monitors or mobiles near you, except the one you are giving the exam on, after the start of the exam. You are recorded as well as proctored throughout the exam. Any sort of misconduct can lead to serious consequences.
