Dr.Death’s Artwork & First NFT sold on the Multeez Protocol

There is something special about the 1st time for anything, an inherent excitement that precedes the first step into uncharted territory. That was certainly the case with Multeez’s first NFT communal purchase; just a small step in a long climb, but one that will forever live in our collective memory and blockchain records.

Multeez was founded last year with a mission to build the shared digital ownership economy. A grand and somewhat vague statement, but one that holds the key to unlocking the way we imagine and think about the future.

The idea was the brainchild of Co-founders, Idan Angel and Tal Dadia, who quickly raised the capital to gather an apex team, who’re just as passionate about the infinite potential of the NFT universe. It all came together on December 17th, for our first milestone and release of the decentralized, Multeez Private alpha platform. It was just a couple of days after when the community gathered to make its first bid.

And just like that, with less than 3 minutes to reach consensus and a minute to complete a successful bid, we made our first step into the meta.

It’s the community, stupid.
There’s never a shortage of challenges when starting something from the ground up; long hours and hard work are a given, but dealing with such novel technologies forces us to constantly envision solutions for questions that have never been answered, or even asked, before.

But perhaps as important, if not more, was the question of whom to partner with for our Alpha release. Powered by the community, is more than just a trending slogan for us; it’s the ethos that we live by, it’s in the core of our product and it’s the principle that will make or break us. And it’s exactly those values that guided our diligent business developer, Megal Yodfat, in her search for our first partners.

Multeez’s first collaboration

We were looking to step into this brave new world with partners who share our values and it’s why we were excited to join hands with Marcel Art — A platform that is all about empowering artists and celebrating their work with a community of art collectors from all over the world. We believe it’s the perfect match, one out of many more to come, to kickstart our ambition to close the circle between the creators and the community.

For Marcel Art, it was their first NFT release and for us, it was both a challenge and a great opportunity. Weaving them through the WEB3 jungle required a little time, however, it was the perfect case study to pave the way for onboarding many more platforms, artists, and collectors who are new to this world. We love our NFT bros and Crypto geeks, after all, they’re our base but like with all emerging technologies, it’s the second and third waves of mass adapters that will be key for our long-term success.

This collaboration produced a little piece of Multeez history when the talented DR.Death, a London-based and metaverse native duo, sold their first NFT art to the community using our protocol. It was part of a release that consisted of 5 emerging artists and it was an exhilarating, yet humbling, experience; knowing that now, the real work has just begun. Our private alpha platform is constantly growing (with 60 new members in the Multeez X Marcel Art NFT community), new bids are being placed and meta friendships are formed.

Become part of the community here.

Join the revolution
Of course, this is just the beginning and many great things are coming. We can’t spill all the beans quite yet however, look out for some collaborations with Desperate ApeWives, Stanford Blockchain Club, and much more exciting news…

If you want to be a part of the revolution and looking for ways to get involved, sign up for our Private Alpha Platform, reach out to us on Twitter, follow all the latest updates and join the conversation.

See you on the other side.
