Project Statement

Soma has become a fast-changing neighborhood in recent years. People with different races, classes, gender and generations are living under the housing crisis and gentrification. The building environment and living conditions are gradually going the opposite direction which demonstrated with the contradictory of high-end apartments, vacant parking lot, homeless population. By renting the parking for a certain amount of time, and provide pop-up space for the neighborhood to gather and share their foods, goods, and knowledge.
