Felicja Luciani, a current second year student at the University of Miami, felt behind due to studying her first semester abroad. Her interest in gardening got her settled into her new school. Joining the gardening club got her involved while also introducing her to new and lifelong friends.

She spends three to five hours at the University of Miami garden every week and will even take time on the weekends for the garden. Felicja uses many aspects of gardening within her own life and even has a small garden of her own. She practices sustainability and uses all of the food that she grows within her own cooking.

Feli considers herself one of the lucky people that connected to others through the gardening club in a very special way. She urges people to start the practice of gardening because it can be beneficial not only to your mental health and social life, but also towards the environment.
