Cristina Cabrera, a professional indoor cycling instructor, gave me the opportunity to sit down with me to talk about one of the hardest experiences of her life so far. Two years ago, Cristina had a skiing accident during a family trip that completely paralyzed her life for a few months, forcing her to stop her usual pace and rethink many things.

The injury Cristina talks about is a knee fracture, something common but which can lead to numerous complications, as she tells. Her journey of recovery is a testament to resilience and determination. After this incident, she had to begin a long recovery process, visiting physical therapists and doctors almost every week for approximately eight months. Cristina was very active in all things related to sports, so this injury took a significant toll on her, both mentally and physically.

Now, she has become an indoor cycling instructor, and she expresses how her personal story shaped her, providing some advices on how to stay mentally strong when facing tough situations. Her experience serves as a reminder that both physical and mental strength are key to overcoming obstacles and coming back even stronger.
