You need the right equipment or you won’t produce good content.
Software
Temple gives all students access to Adobe Creative Cloud via TU Portal. We’ll use these apps in class, so you may wish to download and install:
- Lightroom
- Audition
- Premiere
Equipment checkout
Go to TU Portal, then to the Klein College tab, then find the equipment office under “Resources.” You must make reservations in advance.
Smartphone journalism
You’re allowed to use your phone to collect photos, audio and video, but ONLY IF you purchase the following equipment to go along with it. You cannot use your phone for recording video unless you have a lavalier mic and a tripod. Total cost should be less than $50.
