Among several problems related to Multipotentiality, there is one multipotentialite problem that keeps coming back to anyone who is a multipotentialite, like something that follows us. It all starts, when that soft inner voice start telling us, your creative abilities are now all consumed and it’s time to move to something new. Its like, one part of our brain keep telling us to continue yet the other one wants something new and suddenly we feel like a strong vibration just passes through us when we think of doing something all new.

“BOREDOM” — the biggest multipotentialite problem

Some of you, many have guessed what I am referring to here — a sense of ‘BOREDOM’, the biggest multipotentialite problem. Though, boredom can literally get hold of anyone who is working or not but the difference is: it comes even more to the ‘Multipotentialites’ community out there.

The reality is that we guys are wired differently — on one hand we get this rare gift of intense curiosity to learn something new that may be un-related and on other side when we do not get that something new we desperately need, we start feeling bored. This can be problematic until we finally discover and get our hands on in that new area.

Recently, I was very much interested to know more about this topic and have been collecting some quotes from a variety of sources and understand what experts say about this problem.

You’ll find boredom where there is the absence of a good idea.

— Earl Nightingale

Boredom is a sickness the cure for which is work; pleasure is only a palliative.

— Le Duc De Lvis

The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.

— Ellen Parr

Last but not the least, like many other multipotentialite problems boredom too needs serious attention and should not be ignored rather one should look for ways to keep him engaged in one thing or other. For example — I have learnt meditating can keep your mind calm and increase patience levels to the unimaginable limits, reading a book can help you greatly, and even some multipotentialites would choose to go on a vacation until they find their next calling? And get ready to be absorbed once again.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed and share your experience how you overcome this problem. Who knows how your experience can be of a great help to a multipotentialite reading this article from some other corner of the planet.
