If you go forward 24 months from now, most developers are not coding

“If you go forward 24 months from now, or some amount of time — I can’t exactly predict where it is — it’s possible that most developers are not coding,” said Garman, who became AWS’s CEO in June.

“We have democratized computing for developers by offering a full-stack, accelerated computing platform for AI. Going forward, everyone can be a programmer! You just have to say something to the computer,” said Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA.

“I think AI will replace a lot of routine work that developers do, but it will create new jobs and opportunities for those who adapt and learn to work alongside these new technologies,” said Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI.

“As software development evolves, AI will make it possible for anyone to build applications and automate workflows without writing a single line of code,” said Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft.

“AI will be a powerful tool that can significantly augment a developer’s capabilities, but humans will still be at the heart of creativity and innovation in tech,” said Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google.
