You might feel lucky having found “a Chinese eatery that serves some authentic stuff and uses fresh ingredients” — “which is a real rarity in Munich”, even if it means that you have to “travel to the uglier part of Leopoldstraße”. If it’s “Jiaozi in less than cliché Chinese decor” that you’re craving you’ll find both of them here. Yet it’s recommended to “skip the dry, slightly bland dumplings” and go straight to one of the mains, which at least “get close to the authentic spiciness of Sichuan cuisine” but lack “most hints of the more refined flavors behind the spice”. The “generous oiliness of the sauces” can only just “make up for the lack of slickness” of the well-intended, yet “at times rash” service.
