Munich Restaurant Notes

There’s “surprisingly good food” at this Italian “restaurant, cum vine bar, cum café”, meaning that it might be due to “concept confusion” that this “Altstadt” eatery still remains “largely unrecognized by Munich’s dining out crowd”. Very well prepared basics of the Italian cuisine (“say pasta!”), are complemented with a specials menu that “knows to please with fine, slightly more elaborate combinations”. A nice selection of mainly Italian wines, that even includes a “ by the glass offer of a Tignanello” rounds off the experience, which is only clouded by the “cheesy colored lighting” and the “inconsistent service” that at times “seems more busy when the place is empty”.
