Many important Muon tech milestones were hit in 2022 and we’re prepared to get a jumpstart on the new year. After many months of deep research and development, we are now close to having publicly available networks for testing — set to make 2023 our most exciting year yet!
Development Updates
ALICE Testnet Preparation
All roads have led to the ALICE Testnet for our core development team. Since ALICE is actually the MVP (or ‘Minimum Viable Product’) of Muon, it represents an enormous technical milestone. The past month has seen a number of tweaks and improvements to both network security and performance in readiness for the public launch!
Exploring Muon
In order to help track and visualize the performance and activity on Muon, a network explorer has been in the works. In the same way that Ethereum has Etherscan, this explorer will be able to display network data (such as node activity, transactions etc) in real-time for anyone to view. With the backend work completed, it’s now just a matter of completing the front-end before it’s ready to put into action in 2023.

Thena Launching on BNB Chain
A major event on BNB Chain will see our tech partners Thena launch their highly anticipated DEX, kicking off the new year with a launch date of January 5th! Members on Muon’s partner airdrop list will shortly receive their tokens, and we will also get to see Muon’s DiBs referral technology in action for the first time!
$MUON will be a multi-chain token, but for BNB chain in particular, Thena will provide key support for the future $MUON token launch & liquidity.
Core Partners Heading to BNB Chain
Another benefit of the Thena launch is the attraction of multi-chain projects onto BNB Chain for the first time. This will also be the case for two of our very own partners: FEAR & DEUS, who have both announced migrations of their native tokens onto BNB Chain, via listings on Thena’s DEX.

ALICE Testnet Announced
We were able to reveal the first details of our network launch pathway in December, unveiling the ALICE Testnet.
ALICE will be used for testing & experimentation of public node functions at scale, which can all be done without risk to funds, since the testnet token has no tradable value. There’ll be plenty more details to come very early in 2023, including the ALICE launch date & guides for test-node operators.
Muon Community Continues to Grow
It may not have been a great year for prices, but in the midst of the bear market the Muon community has managed to show tremendous growth! With a 450% increase in Twitter followers, as well as an increase of over 150% in members to our community hub on Discord, we are well placed for bright days ahead with our network launches in 2023.
